How is O2 different from just breathing more?

The pure oxygen in O2 is 7X that of typical water and is dissolved in the liquid of O2. The added oxygen is ingested into your body through the portal venous system in your stomach, which helps you recover faster by increasing the oxygen saturation of your liver's blood supply. Since your portal venous system is only ⅔ saturated with oxygen, ingesting more oxygen has been shown to have many increased benefits for recovery. Your lungs are already 100% saturated with oxygen, so inhaling more or breathing has very little scientific benefits to recovery. The science behind O2 is based on drinking dissolved oxygen, which gives your liver extra power to process and clear toxins, and helps your body recover faster!

How is O2 oxygenated?

It's very similar to how you carbonate something, just a different gas. The added O2 is dissolved into the liquid beverage and will remain in the contents of the can within one hour of opening. Be sure to drink your O2 within 30 minutes of cracking it open for the full benefit of the ingested oxygen. Unlike other recovery drinks, O2 is non-carbonated, making it easy to drink after a workout.

How often should I drink O2?
